Frown lines appear aggressive, forehead wrinkles make you look older. With Botox, Dr. Eppstein gently relaxes your facial muscles – for a fresh, approachable appearance without frozen facial expressions.
Wrinkles are often regarded as evidence of an active and eventful life. They provide character and sometimes make faces appear interesting for the first time. Unfortunately, however, not all wrinkles are like that. For bothersome wrinkles caused by overactivity of the facial muscles, there are now quick and practical treatment options, such as with Botulinum Typ A.
The wrinkles typically treated with this are the frown lines, the transverse forehead lines, and the crow’s feet around the eyes.
Botulinum Type A is one of the most frequently used substances in aesthetic medicine. In recent years, it has established itself as a highly effective means for treating expression lines.
When injected under the skin, the substance takes effect directly on the muscle after a few days and reduces the mimetic activity of the facial muscles, thereby softening the formation of wrinkles. For a lasting effect, treatment with Botulinum Typ A must be repeated every 3 to 4 months.

Since the term “cosmetic surgeon” is not protected, any doctor can call themselves a cosmetic surgeon without having completed specialist training. Therefore, we recommend entrusting yourself to a specialist such as Dr. Eppstein.

Botulinum Typ A is a substance that relaxes the muscles. Due to overactivity of the facial muscles and decades of muscle movement, wrinkles etch themselves into the skin. These wrinkles mostly occur in the upper part of the face and are known by the names “frown lines”, “forehead wrinkles” and “crow’s feet”. With the help of Botulinum Typ A, the muscles relax and the wrinkles are smoothed, in contrast to hyaluronic acid, which is a filling substance. The volume lost over the years is refilled with the substance. Wrinkles caused by volume loss and displacement mostly occur in the lower area of the face and are called “nasolabial folds” and “marionette lines”.
The result of a wrinkle treatment using Botulinum Type A lasts approx. 3-4 months and can be repeated thereafter without any problems. An injection using hyaluronic acid usually lasts 6-12 months.
The findings are gradually returning to the baseline.
Dr. Eppstein always ensures that a natural-looking facial expression is maintained during injections.
Yes, treatments with Botulinum Type A and Hyaluronic Acid can be combined.

A visible result is usually achieved after 3 months. The final result usually after 6 months. The scars have generally reached their final shape after about one year.
This may be possible under certain circumstances, but should be discussed individually with Dr. Eppstein.
Smoking can lead to a narrowing of the blood vessels, which impairs blood circulation and thus hinders healing. For a fast healing process, one should therefore refrain from the consumption of alcohol and cigarettes.
