Yes, with our own operating room, all procedures and treatments can be performed on-site.
Why does the EPPSTEIN-Klinik not show before-and-after pictures?
According to the Therapeutic Products Act Section 11 (1), German doctors may not advertise surgical plastic surgery interventions through comparative depictions of appearance before and after the intervention (before-and-after images).
I have a long journey – can my companion also stay overnight at the clinic?
Yes, the accompanying person can also stay overnight at the clinic.
Can several treatments be performed at one appointment?
In principle, multiple treatments can be performed during a single appointment. To what extent certain treatments can be combined must be discussed during a personal consultation.
What is the difference between a cosmetic surgeon and a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery?
A specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery has specialized in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery during their 6-year residency training following medical school. Since the term “cosmetic surgeon” is not a protected title, any physician can call themselves a cosmetic surgeon without having completed specialist training. Therefore, we recommend entrusting yourself to a specialist such as Dr. Eppstein.

Dr. med. Before the procedure
What is the typical timeframe between the consultation and the surgery date?
As a rule, there are several weeks between the consultation and the surgery appointment. By law, a minimum period of 48 hours is required between the consultation and the performance of an elective procedure.
Under what circumstances can no intervention be performed?
Certain pre-existing conditions as well as the intake of anticoagulant medication can lead to a decision against performing a cosmetic surgery procedure. Such details are discussed in depth during the consultation.
How do I optimally prepare for surgery?
In a preliminary consultation with Dr. Eppstein, you will be told everything necessary that you should know before the operation. Two weeks before the operation, you should not take any medications such as ASS (Aspirin) that affect blood clotting. Furthermore, you should stop consuming cigarettes. Everything else is on our ‘Before-After’ sheet, which you will receive after your consultation.

How long does the effect of a buttock lift last?
The aging of the tissue is unpredictable; however, as a rule, the buttocks usually remain in better shape even after years than they were before the operation.
Which incision technique does Dr. Eppstein use, and will visible scars remain afterwards?
The incision is made in the gluteal fold and the scars are generally hardly visible.
After the procedure
How do I behave if complications occur?
You will receive an emergency number where you can reach Dr. Eppstein at any time. In the event of a complication, please do not hesitate to call.
How can I ensure a good healing process?
Physical rest and a healthy diet are important factors that contribute to rapid wound healing. The same applies to abstaining from cigarettes and alcohol. Dr. Eppstein will discuss further individual measures with you during the consultation.
Should I expect any pain after the procedure?
The pain is generally well tolerated. Dr. Eppstein will issue a prescription for pain medication depending on the type of procedure.
How long do I have to wait until a final result of the treatment is visible?
A visible result is usually achieved after 3 months. The final result is usually achieved after 6 months. The scars have generally reached their final appearance after about one year.
Can follow-up treatments also be carried out at a different doctor or hospital, as I have a long journey?
This may be possible under certain circumstances, but should be discussed individually with Dr. Eppstein.
Does the consumption of alcohol or cigarettes have a direct impact on the healing process?
Smoking can lead to a narrowing of the blood vessels, which worsens blood flow and thus impairs healing. For a fast healing process, one should therefore refrain from the consumption of alcohol and cigarettes.
Following such a procedure, do I have to expect long-term restrictions on activities involving sitting (such as driving a car or using the toilet) or wearing tight clothing?
After a buttock lift, you should avoid any movements that strain the buttocks during the first three weeks, such as bending over, sitting on hard surfaces (for an extended period), or flexing the hip joint. Additionally, you should wear appropriate compression garments for the first six weeks and avoid sleeping on your back.
