Thigh lift
Many women share the desire for firm and smooth thighs. However, significant weight loss, pregnancy, or the natural aging process can reduce the elasticity of the skin on the inner thighs and cause unwanted excess skin and fat in the affected areas.
In addition to exercise and diets, a thigh lift can provide a solution, in which we permanently remove excess tissue on the inside of the thigh and tighten the remaining skin. To reduce later visibility to a minimum, the scars are placed in the vertical trouser seam area.

According to the Heilmittelwerbegesetz §11 (1), German doctors are not allowed to advertise surgical plastic-cosmetic procedures through comparative depictions of appearance before and after the procedure (before-and-after images).
I have a long journey – can my companion also stay overnight at the clinic?

Can multiple treatments be performed in one appointment?
In principle, multiple treatments can be performed during a single appointment. To what extent certain treatments can be combined must be discussed during a personal consultation.
What is the difference between a cosmetic surgeon and a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery?
A specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery has specialized in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery during their 6-year specialist training following medical school. Since the term “cosmetic surgeon” is not protected, any doctor can call themselves a cosmetic surgeon without having completed specialist training. Therefore, we recommend that you entrust yourself to a specialist, such as Dr. Eppstein.

Before the procedure
What is the typical timeframe between the consultation and the surgery date?
As a rule, there are several weeks between the consultation and the surgery date. By law, a minimum period of 48 hours is required between the consultation and the performance of an elective procedure.
Under what circumstances can no intervention be performed?
Certain underlying medical conditions, as well as the use of anticoagulant medication, may lead to a recommendation against performing a cosmetic surgery procedure. Such matters will be discussed in detail during the consultation.
How do I optimally prepare for surgery?
In a preliminary consultation with Dr. Eppstein, everything you need to know before the surgery will be explained to you. Two weeks before the operation, you should not take any medication such as ASS (Aspirin) that affects blood clotting. Furthermore, you should stop consuming cigarettes. Everything else is detailed on our ‘Before and After’ sheet, which you will receive after your consultation.

Do I have to expect long-term restrictions on sitting activities (such as using the toilet, driving) or wearing tight clothing following a thigh lift?
After a thigh lift, you should avoid strenuous movements for the first three weeks. Sitting is generally well possible. Additionally, you should wear appropriate compression underwear for the first 3 weeks.

Physical rest and a healthy diet are important factors that contribute to rapid wound healing. The same applies to abstaining from cigarettes and alcohol. Dr. Eppstein will discuss further individual measures with you during the consultation.
Should I expect pain after the procedure?
The pain is generally well tolerated. Dr. Eppstein will issue a prescription for painkillers depending on the type of procedure.
How long do I have to wait until a final result of the treatment is visible?
A visible result is usually achieved after 3 months. The final result usually after 6 months. The scars have generally reached their final shape after about one year.
Can follow-up treatments also be carried out by another doctor or hospital, as I have a long journey?
This may be possible under certain circumstances, but should be discussed individually with Dr. Eppstein.
